Medical card – How it works?

June 27

Yesterday, a friend of mine asked me why dont i write some information about how the medical card works especially during our admission to hospital and so here i am to share some of the information that i knew of or rather through my own experience.

As I am the insurance agent for Prudential and so the information that i share here will be based on my experience with regards to Prudential Medical Card cause there might be different ways for other company medical card.

Normally, if my policyholder informed me earlier about their operation date and the admission date, (for some operation , normally the doctor will fix a date), then i will help them to apply the letter of guarantee from prudential in advance so that they wont need to pay for any deposit during their admission. This application of letter of guarantee is very easy and simple to apply, I will go to the hospital concerned (so far, most of my policyholders will either go to SMC or Damai specialist centre), informed the admission centre, then they will give me a form for my policyholder to sign, then with this form, they will fax over to my company to get approval, once the company has replied and faxed the letter of guarantee to the hospital concerned, then everything is done.

When the day comes, i will be there with my policyholder to make sure everything is in order, since letter of guarantee is there, so they are allowed to be admitted without paying any deposit.  After all the operation done and when the policyholder needs to check out, then the hospital concern will then prepare the final bill and fax to my company, once my company has approved and have no queries on the final bill, they will then fax back the approval back to the hospital, then the policyholder will be able to leave after paying the difference (the difference here means if the medical card that the policyholder purchased only cover the room rate for rm100 and if he is staying in the room which costs rm175, then he or she will need to pay for the difference which in this case is rm75).

For those emergency case, like suddenly need to be admitted , the procedure is still the same, but just that the hospital concerned need to send the application of letter of guarantee on the spot, it is still ok…just that if the operation is planned ahead then we will do the application before hand.

From the above information, you will be aware that with one medical card on hand, it is really very useful cause you dont have to worry about money when a person need to be admitted for operation and treatment. In fact for last month, i have two policyholders went in for operation in SMC and yesterday i have one admitted again for operation and i really see how this medical card has helped them on this.  So, friends, do check your policy if any medical card is attached, if none, please talk to your agent and please get one before it is too late.  For those without any insurance agent, you are most welcome to contact me.

I hope the above information will help everyone to understand how this medical card works and if further information is needed, please do not hesitate to contact me or email me, consultation is free..hehe..but if you want, i dont mind if you want to buy me a coffee for this..hehe….

Health – how much it mean to a person?

June 20

I was not feeling well for the past few days and was forced to stay at home to take rest, suddenly i realise how important is our health.

Some might sayWOW. so nice, can stay at home and rest and no need to work..but for me i think i prefer i am healthy and be able to be out to work. When not well..cannot eat properly..cannot sleep properly, even resting also not comfortable. Moreover, have to stop drink my coffee which is the most torture thing for me..hehe..and started to eat things like vegetable salad etc..etc..which i seldom eat.

Anywhere..i thank God as i think HE is trying to tell me something that is asking me to take care of my health and take enough rest.  For me, i never stop to rest unless i am not well which i think is no good cause at the end when critical illness come..it might be too late .

So, friends…let us not take for granted.let us take care of our health, have proper diet, proper exercise, proper rest so that we can always be healthy and be able to perform our duty and to have a good and happy life…God bless you all

Great News – insurance update

June 6

Hey…friends…just wish to share with you all the great news and first hand news on the new insurance plan from my beloved company, Prudential.

We are going to have a new medical plan namely Pruhealth, whereby No claim bonus will be given each year if no claims is made….yeah..what a good news ya..and secondly for children policy, we are going to have double parents benefits, that is if one of the parents eg. father diagnoise one of the 36 critical illness or death or total permanent disability, then premium will be waived and the child policy will continue (and this is the normal case)but if another eg. mother diagnoise one of the 36 critical illness or death or total permanent disability, then prudential will put in extra premium (for example, if the monthly premium is rm100, for the above example, when the father in the three condition that I mentioned earlier then company will continue to put in this rm100 into this child policy, but after that if the three conditions happen to the mother again, then prudential will put in extra rm100 to this child policy, and so more saving for this child) and this is so called double parent benefit.

Dont you think it is great….yeah..and also more…will update everyone through my website here, or if you wish to know more, you can contact your prudential agent  or if you prefer to speak to me, you are most welcome to contact me..no obligation and free information for every one.

PRAYERS

June 6

For us, being children of God, we used to have our daily prayers and  Bible  reading that is the God’s word and we term this as our quiet time with God whereby we spend our time talking to God through our prayers.  This is important as this will help us to get closer to our God , our heavenly Father and also to have the connectivity with HIM.  Once we have this connectivity then we can have the Holy spirit to guide us on our daily life.

However, most of us, pray just for the sake of praying, and we do not really talk our hearts out to God.  According to our Bible and the Words of God, HE wants us to come back to HIM as a child, whereby we will tell HIM everything that is happening to us and to share with HIM our dreams and vision.  Sometimes, we feel that though we have prayed a lot on certain things but it seems that nothing happen and our answer still not being answered and some will give out.  The truth is we should keep on praying and press on until our prayer is answered. God has HIS time to answer our prayer and HE will choose the right time to answer our prayer.

Matthew 7:7 “Ask and it will be given to you;seek and you will find;knock and the door will be opened to you.  7:8″for everyone who asks receives;he who seeks finds;and to him who knocks, the door will be opened” and this is words of God and HIS promises to us.

So to all my brothers and sisters in Christ, and friends, do spend more time talking to our God through prayers and have a good connection or relationship with HIM and Holy spirit will guide you through all your challenges in life.  Your life will be changed and become extrordinary.

Child education Planning

May 31

Today, while looking at some of the cute little faces of those young children walking around with their parents, suddenly i have a thought on their future, wondering what will they be when they grow up one day, and looking at those parents who was holding their hands and walk carefully , protecting them from any injuries and while at the coffee shop, asking them what they want to eat and drink etc..i can see from the expression of the parents, they really want to give the best or rather to give what their children wants and needs.  Then suddenly i think of their future and wondering since the parents is so caring about them and trying their best to give what they want and ask for, have they prepared for their education funds if these children reach their age of 18 or 19 when they wish to study more inorder to achieve their dream?

Being an insurance agent, when I move around and sharing the benefits of our education fund programme, a lot of parents giving a lot of reasons for not being able to start such a programme for their children and the most common reason is no budget???????????????????

Yes, i agree that sometimes we really do not even have the extra to save or rather each month when we get our salary, after paying all the bills, we hardly have anything left for saving.  However, if we look into this matter seriously then we aware that if now when they are young or rather when they are still not going to school or still at their kindergarden, we even cannot save some money for them and for their future education, then i dont think we can save for them when they are growing up as we need more to spend on them.

If we dont start to save for them now, and when they reach the age of 18 or 19 and when they start to share with us on their dreams or rather what courses they wish to go for inorder to get their degree…then with no money in hand for this, we only have two choices, one is to tell them the truth that we cannot afford to support them as we have no money and second choice will be we go to the Bank to get study loan for them whereby we will be paying interest on the loan and for a loan of rm40000, you might end up paying the monthly repayment of about rm650 which will be a burden to us.

So, knowing that one day we are going to face this question or reality, why not we start a saving plan for them when they are young or when they just born. Then you might say…no budget for it, but i strongly believe that if you really serious about it, there will be a way.  Moreover, you can start with a minimum amount first, rm50 per month or rm100 per month, (it might mean you need to cut down some expenses inorder to start on this, but i think it is worth to do it for your lovely children)and gradually you can increase your saving and every year when the children get their ang pow money during chinese new year or whatever festival or their birthday, then you can put these monies into this saving account as top up.

The conclusion is…even if start with a minimum amount, it is still better then not starting anything now and regret later.

Are your old limiting beliefs holding you back?

May 29

I heard a story a long time ago that has always stayed with me..

Have you ever seen circus elephants? These magnificent creatures are tethered by only a small rope yet they never attempt to escape to freedom?

These elephants, when captured are a very young age. Their keeper places a chain around the young elephant’s ankle and stakes the chain into the ground. The baby elephant tries and tries to break free from the chain because, deep inside he knows he was born for freedom.

Yet as he struggles, he finds he’s not strong enough to break free and eventually he gives up entirely.

As the elephant grows larger and stronger – this big magnificent animal who is capable of lifting hundreds of pounds – just accepts that he can not pull the stake out of the ground. And with his spirit broken he never again challenges it.

And so there he stands. For ten, twenty, thirty years or more. Controlled by something that literally has no power to control him except the power he’s given it in his mind.

Is this happening to you? Are you allowing your life to be controlled by past beliefs that literally have no power to control you?

Choice…how it affects a person life?

May 20

This morning while i was doing my work in one of the small town here, Papar i witnessned an incident which made me feel a bit sad.

while i was walking towards my client ’s shop, a china woman holding a small card, called me and trying to stop me to talk to me..but i just wave to her and carried on with my walk  cause normally i wont stop to talk to such people especially if they are holding something as i knew that they will most probably trying to sell me something.

After u have completed my work with my client, while walking out , then i heard someone talking about there are police out there catching two china woman as these two china woman was trying to cheat money from whoever they met by the road side, when i looked out , one of them was the one who was trying to stop me and talk to me .  I think during that time she was trying to stop me and trying to get some money from me too.

While looking out, i can see the policeman was trying to force her to get into the police car and she was struggling and refused to get in…but finally she was caught and the policemen drove them to the police station.  I was a bit sad while seeing this, i pity the china woman though i knew that they are doing the wrong thing and they should be caught and punished as they are cheating the public.  I was just wondering being a healthy person, why cant they just find a job and work hard to get their income instead of cheating to get money.

I really felt sad for them …they have the chance to choose their life, being good or bad, but they choose the bad way. Though i felt sad for them, but nothing i can do to help them, all I can do is to pray for them and ask God to touch their life so that they can be given a chance to have a new life.

Insurance Agent ?

May 18

You must be wondering why i choose to write on this topic “INSURANCE AGENT”????????

Well, these two days, while driving, suddenly this question came into my mind “why everyone so scare of insurance agent and rather so affraid to meet up with an insurance agent?” and i think the main reason is because everyone scare that once they meet an insurance agent, they will push or rather force to sign up some insurance programme, am i right?

Actually, Insurance Agent is just a normal person but having a special knowledge on insurance and investment. The duty or rather responsibility of an insurance agent is they must go out to share with the public what is the importance of having an insurance programme or retirement plan for their old age and also to share what their company have for these programmes.  They have indeed attended all the training on these particular subject and they have a lot to share on this too.

Everyday, we are working to earn income or money so that we can pay for all our expenses especially our food, shelther etc..etc..and some of us need this money to feed our family members as well, However, we cannot guarantee that we can have the good health  to carry on with my daily work, and so there are uncertainties in our life like sickness , and the worst is sudden death.

So, what the insurance agent is trying to do is to meet you and to let you aware of this problem and check if you do have solution to standby if incase this happen.  It will be too late, when things happen, and you found out that you dont have the solution for this.

While you are still healthy and working, why not, meet up an insurance agent, and have a serious discussion on this, so that the insurance agent can help you to see what is the good solution that suitable for you, then only you decide if you want to have this solution.  As the insurance agent has a wide knowledge on this subject, so you can actually get all what you wish to know from them free of charge which i think is to your advantage.

Sincerely from my heart, i urge all of you who is yet to have any discussion with any insurance agent on this programme, do go ahead and look for one insurance agent and have a serious discussion on this.  It is very important to you and your family , Please do think about it seriously.

However, if you worry that the insurance agent might force you to take up even if you are not ready, then you can always contact me if you wish to know more so that i can assist you on this without obligation.
