This afternoon, while having a coffee , somone suddenly suggested me to write something on this topic…why medical card?As he felt that this might help a lot of people to have a better understanding on why a person must have medical card.

Everywhere we go or rather each time when we chit chatting with our friends, we can hear a lot of them saying that they have had insurance policy or rather have enough insurance policy.  But once we go into details on this subject with them then found that most of them have insurance policy like wholelife, endowment etc..etc..and very few of them having medical card.

So, why medical card? why is it that i must have a medical card with me?well, the answer is simple, you can choose not to have a medical card , but if you dont have one , then make sure you have enough saving in the bank so that u can pay the medical bills if you are sick or rather need to be admitted to hospital for operation etc..etc.

If no medical card, when sick and need to be admitted to hospital and need to go through operation, then you must pay every ringgit out from your own pocket i.e. your saving, for example, if you need rm10000 for the operation then you must take out rm10000 from your savings i.e. rm1 to rm1 and if you do not have that amount then u might go for loans which will be painful and provided you can find such loan.

Just immagine, a young man who started work at age 22, having great dreams on his future and having big goals for his life and suddenly he found that he needs to go through an operation which cost him rm20000, then he will be in big trouble cause he did not have that money, and also with this illness strike, he might not be able to work again, so he has no choice but to go back to his parents and family members to seek financial help..just immagine, being parents after spending so much to grow up this son until today that he can work and earn himself, and suddenly this son comes back for financial help due to the sickness…it is sad and really unfair to the parents….but if this young man has a medical card, then easily he can use this medical card to go for his operation without disturbing his parents…dont u think it is good?

Then , you might say…i need to find money to pay for the medical card insurance premium and it is not free…yes…i agree, it is not free…but compare to the money that you paid for the premium and the compensation that you are going to get, i am sure u will agree with me that it is still worth to pay for it,for RM3 a day, you will be getting a standby medical fund of rm500000, dont you think it is worth to take up?the question is…u want to start saving this rm500000(i wonder who can make it)now for your medical funds or you rather give me rm3 a day and i will standby this rm500000 as your medical funds?

So, the choice is yours
